The commercial mortgage-backed securities market is largely out of regulators’ crosshairs—for the time being anyway, according to a regulatory outlook panel at this week’s CREFC conference in Miami Beach. “CMBS is nowhere on the radar,” said Christina Zausner, v.p. of industry and policy analysis at CREFC. “Where regulators see the greatest risk is in deep and wide markets that are subject to interest rate volatility,” she added.
